Hi, I’m Christie and I have been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for over 8 years. When I first saw cards with stamps I was so confused! How did people make these basic black outlines look so pretty? Did you have that first thought too? Maybe you’re new to stamping and you too are overwhelmed with how to make beautiful handmade greeting cards with just some basic ink pad…. I was a scarpbooker and all of that made complete sense to me! I would look at stamps at the craft store, get uneasy and quickly walk over to the selection of 100s of sheets of beautiful paper. I was (ok still am) a paper hoarder. I understood how to arrange photos on scrapbook paper, add stickers and my page was done! Then, one afternoon a co-worker, offered a card making workshop after work. To this day I don’t know if that was a blessing or a mistake! I learned how to use stamps and instantly fell in love with card making! I was so proud of the cards I made, even with all the halos around the stamped images. Within a week, I had my hands on a catalog, pages flagged and I knew every stamp name and pretty much what page it was on in the catalog. I was also signing up to be a demonstrator. Once I started to learn how to make cards, I decided to start teaching others the joy of card making and paper crafting. I have taught numerous library and continuing education classes. I’m here to help you find your way through card making, understanding how to use the supplies and most importantly, making sure you are having fun! I keep my cards simple and beautiful! My cards are samples. You can copy them exactly as you see them, or you can use them as a starting point and be inspired to create your own unique version. Happy Stamping!
